Meet Sacred Cow: The Nutritional, Environmental, and Ethical Case for Better Meat.


This project began as a crowdfunding campaign to fund the writing, filming, and production of the film and book, Sacred Cow.


Sacred Cow probes the fundamental moral, environmental and nutritional quandaries we face in raising and eating animals, and given the contentious headlines about beef and animals in our food system, this project required careful research, strategy, and execution.


With market research and emotive messaging, I was able to develop a campaign strategy that exceeded our crowdfunding projections, forced the book publishers to rapidly scale book printing as sales surpassed their expectations by 200%, and gathered 100,000 global viewers of the film for the week-long screening.


Here are some stats:

  • Increased page visits from 3,000 per month to 50,000 per month

  • Increased merchandise sales from $0 to $11,000 within three months

  • Achieved #1 book in Health & Wellness (and ironically #1 book in Vegetarian Diets) on Amazon
